Wiki Merge Discussion
Hello everyone! I'm Ferthi, one of the admins from the Fandom Anthem wiki. We've been keeping an eye on our partner Gamepedia wiki since launch in the hopes that it too might grow. Unfortunately, it remained at 99 articles (now 100 as of a couple days ago) with less than 2,500 edits across the entire wiki in the two months since Anthem's official launch. To put that in perspective, the Fandom wiki has 1,500+ pages and over 13,000 edits. There have not been many active editors on the Gamepedia side since the launch of the game, and I believe that is in part due to many seeing the higher activity on the Fandom side.
However, that does not mean that players are not looking at the Gamepedia wiki; due to the prominence of the Gamepedia wiki links on the Anthem subreddit, players are still checking it out (averaging 25k views a month). But they are finding an empty wiki and with the current state of the game that can be disheartening, and they may not consider to look up another one.
We on the Fandom side would like to propose a merger of the two wiki's and bring your content over to the Fandom wiki to help new players more easily find the available information we have and work together on making the wiki even better. Everything looks so much better when there is input from multiple people after all!
- Hi, Ferthi! Given that Fandom and Gamepedia have recently joined forces, and this wiki is indeed inadequately supported, I support this proposed merger. Recludam (talk) 03:08, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
